- Don't make your new shop too big. For a small shop 3 squsts is enough.
- If you buy products outside your own city often, it may be handy to buy a car or truck
- Selling weapons in most cities is illegal. The fine is 250 I-Shell if you get caught.
- Make sure you never end up without cash. Trade and transport becomes impossible, and on top of that, players with negative funds are deleted during the weekly check.
- If you do end up in the red, try to sell products as quickly as possible, borrow money, write an article for a newspaper or refer friends to Miniconomy using your referral code.
- There is no point in creating new accounts to help your main account financially. This will either be blocked by the game, or noticed by the Government, which leads to an immediate ban.
- Stealing might seem a good idea, but watch out for the fines and possible bad reputation (criminal status).
- Check out the various media and the clubs. You'll find important information about the game, the players, politics and market developments there.
- Trying to steal from the FES (shop owned by the Government) is not a good idea. All the FES shops are well protected, which means there is a big chance of being caught.
- Run out of money? Decreasing marketing leaves you with half of what you paid for it.
- Starting a bank is only useful if your savings interest is lower than the interest you ask for loans.
- Successful players keep an eye on the products in shops belonging to big players.
- Many shop-owners try to have as many different products in their shops as possible, but you earn much more through mass-production and specialisation (invest in skills!).
- When you start, choose three positions on the map where you want to build or search for resources. After the first three, all lots you buy from the Government must be next to a lot you already own.
- If you want to be an important politician, join an existing party before you start your own.
- Earn I-Shells by getting friends and family to join Miniconomy. The bonus you receive is 25 ISH per person.
- Fuel usage depends on distance to the warehouse. It is therefore a good idea to have a shop in the city center.

- Contact other people in your (virtual) city, for example in your local council's club
- If a mayor chooses to tax a city's citizens, the tax is based on your money (cash+bank), not your goods.
